Writing Contests for One-of-a-Kind Kids

You have something important to say. No one else can say it quite like you! So pick up your pencil, or sit yourself down at your computer, and write, write, write! Revise, revise, revise! Then edit your work and share it with your family and your friends. Enter your work in this year’s Writing Contest for One-of-a-Kind Kids. You could become a published author!

Thumbprint Press has partnered with Portico Books, another publisher of books for children, to create Writing Contests for One-of-a-Kind Kids. This year’s contest is The Grannie Annie—A Family Story Celebration. Students in U.S. grades 4-5 and 6-8, and homeschool or international students ages 9-14 are invited to interview the storykeepers in their family to discover stories from their family's history. Selected stories are published in annual volumes of Grannie Annie.

The Grannie Annie is the kind of celebration that gets better as more people participate.
