Grannie Annie, Vol. 4: Selections from The Grannie Annie Family Story Celebration, An Annual Writing Contest for Young People. The mission of The Grannie Annie is to celebrate family stories! Students in U.S. grades 4-8 and homeschool or international students ages 9-14 are invited to interview their family storykeepers and write a story based on their interview. The Grannie Annie experience leads students to discover and save family stories, encounter history in a very personal way, and hone their writing skills. Students are encouraged to share their story with their family, school, community, and The Grannie Annie. Twenty-six stories from two age categories, chosen to represent the stories received this year, are included in this fourth annual volume of Grannie Annie.
